Language: German
Location: Dachstein gondola mountain station, Hunerkogel (Austria)

On June 27 and 28, 2025, the ARGE Alpinmedizin Graz in cooperation with the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Notfallmedizin Steiermark (AGN) invites you to the Alpine Medicine Symposium BergNotFall 2025. Doctors, paramedics, mountain rescuers and students can expect a mixture of theoretical and practical training in the field of alpine emergency medicine. We are happy to be there as an industry partner to present our ultralight and mobile patient monitoring solution to the participants, which has proven itself many times over in alpine use.

Alpine emergency medicine: theory and practice at an altitude of 2,700 meters

The two-day symposium will take place at an altitude of 2,700 meters on the Hunerkogel (Dachstein gondola mountain station). In addition to ARGE Alpinmedizin and AGN, the Austrian Mountain Rescue Service Styria (ÖBRD) and the Austrian Society for Alpine and High Altitude Medicine (ÖGAHM) are also contributing to the event. The program consists of a theoretical and a practical day and offers participants an ideal mix of lectures, workshops and further training in alpine emergency medicine.

Ultralight and mobile patient monitoring

We will be presenting our system for mobile patient monitoring to symposium participants as part of the accompanying industry exhibition. This is based on the 6.5 g in-ear sensor, c-med° alpha, and the application for mobile devices, °Health. The monitoring technology has already been tested in various studies and pilot projects in rescue and intensive care medicine, prolonged field care and offshore rescue and has been used very successfully in remote patient monitoring (see references). The system is already firmly integrated into the equipment of several mountain and air rescue organizations throughout Europe and is being used successfully.

More about the organizer: ARGE Alpinmedizin

The symposium is mainly organized by ARGE Alpinmedizin Graz, which has been active as an interdisciplinary platform for research, education and training in alpine and high-altitude medicine since 1997. Its focus is on the constant exchange between medicine, research and training.
