From May 5th-9th, 2025, cosinuss° will participate in the SOMA 2025 Scientific Assembly at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. The event, themed “Building Interoperability on Solid Fundamentals”, brings together experts from prehospital, tactical, wilderness, austere, disaster, and deployed medicine. We are excited to showcase our small and ultralight mobile patient monitoring solution, designed to enhance medical care in the most challenging environments.

A Unique Gathering for Medical Professionals

SOMA is the world’s only medical association that unites professionals across various fields of unconventional medicine. The event offers a vital platform for military and civilian medical providers, academia, and industry partners to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and explore the latest advancements in medical technology. With over 1,000 attendees from more than 17 countries, SOMA 2025 will provide unparalleled opportunities for networking and collaboration. The event features specialized presentation tracks, including Austere Resuscitative Surgical Care, Human Performance and Resiliency, Military Special Operations Forces Medicine and Tactical Emergency Medical Services.

Compact and ultralight mobile patient monitoring

At the accompanying exhibition, we will showcase our compact, ultralight mobile patient monitoring system. This “pocket-sized patient monitor” delivers real-time vital data, even under the most demanding conditions. The 5.5 cm, 6.5 g in-ear sensor c-med° alpha, in combination with the cosinuss° Health smartphone application, enables continuous tracking of pulse rate, body temperature and oxygen saturation as well as parameters like the PPG curve, perfusion and quality index. Our innovative solution is ideal for environments where traditional monitoring has been hindered by factors such as cold weather, distance, weight, size, or space constraints. We look forward to demonstrating how this technology can enhance tactical medical care and support healthcare professionals in remote and austere environments.

About SOMA

Founded in 1987, the Special Operations Medical Association (SOMA) is dedicated to advancing the art and science of special operations medical care. Through educational programs, professional development initiatives, and its official publication, the Journal of Special Operations Medicine (JSOM), SOMA fosters innovation and collaboration among medical providers in military, law enforcement, and emergency response fields. The annual Scientific Assembly, along with Mini-SOMA Conferences, serves as a key platform for learning and discussion on the latest in unconventional medicine.

We look forward to meeting medical professionals, industry leaders, and partners at SOMA 2025!
