The 13th International Conference on Disaster and Military Medicine (DiMiMED) will take place on September 30 and October 1, 2025, in Koblenz. The event offers participants the opportunity to exchange ideas about future challenges in the field of disaster and military medicine and to discuss joint approaches to solutions. We are happy to present our mobile and ultralight patient monitoring solution at the industry exhibition.
Strengthening medical capacities
This year’s conference theme is: “Anticipating the unknown – preparing for the future. Strengthening medical capacities to prepare for unpredictable disasters and challenges in combat.” The background to this is advancing climate change and the associated increase in weather-related humanitarian emergencies worldwide. From a military medical perspective, there are also increasing challenges in providing medical care in conflicts between military opponents of roughly equal strength. The conference program includes numerous thematic modules, including combat medical care and disaster medicine.
Ultralight and mobile patient monitoring
We will present our mobile patient monitoring system at the accompanying industry exhibition. The solution is based on the 8.6 g ultralight c-med° alpha in-ear sensor and the cosinuss° Health mobile application. The monitoring technology is already being used successfully in mountain, air, and offshore rescue operations, as well as by some special forces (see references). We look forward to presenting the diverse applications of this technology and discussing its potential and application scenarios in disaster control with the participants.
