Location: Landshut University of Applied Sciences (D)
Landshut University of Applied Sciences invites to participate in interactive and interdisciplinary sessions on June 26, 2025 as part of the Medical Technology Innovation Forum. The event will provide insights into research, project work or final theses and enable participants to make contacts with the university, scientists and students. cosinuss° will also be presenting its mobile patient monitoring technology as part of the main topic “EARiginal technology for pulse oximetry and hearing loss”.
Interactive and interdisciplinary sessions on medical technology
The “Medical Technology Poster Symposium” will take place for the fourth time at Landshut University of Applied Sciences, where results and findings from the field of medical technology research will be presented to a broad specialist audience. This event has now evolved into the “INNOVATION FORUM MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY” so that interactive and interdisciplinary sessions can be offered, providing practice-oriented knowledge and expertise from current projects. This year’s topics include:
- AI and AR in surgery
- EARiginal technology for pulse oximetry and hearing loss
- Presentation of the AI Competence Center at Landshut University of Applied Sciences.
With the expanded format, the organizers want to address a broad audience from industry and medicine in order to be able to get in touch and discuss with their representatives.
EARiginal technique for pulse oximetry and hearing loss
In addition to improving hearing, hearing aids increasingly offer additional functions, such as telephony or media use. The ear canal has not only proven itself as a placement location for acoustic applications, but also for measuring vital parameters due to its central location, constant blood flow and proximity to the brain. cosinuss° together with ORCA Labs Europe, WSAudiology will discuss the possibilities of combining our measurement technology (in-ear sensor c-med° alpha) with hearing aids during the interactive sessions. The small and lightweight multi-parameter sensor continuously measures pulse rate, oxygen saturation and body temperature – supplemented by additional values such as perfusion and quality index. The data is transmitted in real time via Bluetooth to the cosinuss° Health app or via a gateway to a server, enabling real-time patient monitoring. Weighing just 6.5 grams, the sensor is light and comfortable to wear. The combination of hearing systems with medical sensor technology thus offers new perspectives for integrated health monitoring in everyday life.
More about the organizer(s)
The event is initiated by the Medical Technology Research Department at Landshut University of Applied Sciences under the direction of Prof. Dr. Stefanie Remmele and organized together with the Institute for Transfer and Cooperation and the university’s Medical Technology Network. The forum is aimed at current and potential new partners from industry and medicine as well as young scientists and students, who are invited to find out about current topics in projects and theses. As in the past, companies will once again have the opportunity to make contact with interested young talent.
