The National Association of Mountain Rescuers from Romania “Salvamont Romania” invites to the 4th European FIPS meeting in Sinaia (Romania) between March 3-6, 2025. cosinuss° is happy to be part of this event and to present our ultralight and mobile patient monitoring solution to the mountain rescue experts.

Uniting Global Experts: Advancing Mountain Rescue

The FIPS meeting brings together rescuers from over 16 countries, fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange. Experts and specialized groups will explore critical topics such as medical care, avalanche safety, technology, and risk management — all with a focus on the unique challenges faced by rescue teams in mountainous terrain and during ski season. The program offers a dynamic mix of indoor and outdoor activities, including hands-on workshops, immersive conference sessions, and insightful talks.

Mobile and continuous patient monitoring: Proven technology in mountain rescue

At the FIPS meeting, we will present our mobile patient monitoring system, a solution based on the in-ear sensor, c-med° alpha, and the cosinuss° Health app. The c-med° alpha continuously measures pulse rate, oxygen saturation, and body temperature, while also providing important metrics like perfusion and quality index. This real-time data is visualized in the cosinuss° Health app, enabling precise and continuous monitoring. Its suitability for use in alpine environments is backed by studies and pilot projects and reference use cases. Our mobile patient monitoring solution is already in use by several European mountain and air rescue organizations, including Salvamont Romania itself.

By presenting our monitoring system at FIPS, we aim to showcase how this innovative solution can further enhance safety and efficiency for teams operating in the world’s most challenging terrains.
