From 30 January to 1 February 2026 the College Of Remote and Offshore Medicine (CoROM) will host the 10th Anniversary of “Medicine In The Mediterranean” in Sliema, Malta – an exceptional event dedicated to advancing medical care in remote and austere environments. Together with Eirik Holmstrøm, we will once again present our ultralight and mobile patient monitoring solution, designed for challenging situations.

Forward Resuscitation and Medical Mobility

As every year, the conference offers its participants a successful and highly informative mix of presentations, industry exhibition, and, above all, hands-on workshop sessions that introduce participants to important topics in a very practical way. Topics such as battlefield medicine with Forward Resuscitation and Mobile DCR are included. The lectures and workshops are held by leading experts, including faculty from Ukraine, for a high-fidelity session that bridges innovation and technology with life-saving practice.

Workshop demonstration of our ultralight mobile patient monitoring

We are excited to showcase our mobile patient monitoring system to participants not only at the accompanying industry exhibition but also within one of the workshops. Eirik Holmstrøm, CoROM CPD Manager and former Flight and Critical Care Paramedic, will integrate the in-ear sensors in his workshop session, which is designed as a practical, station-based demonstration of four complementary “invocations” for medics – showing how modern sensors, documentation, training, and telemedicine can support real-world decision-making and continuity of care.

Our solution combines the 8.6 g ultralight in-ear sensor c-med° alpha with the cosinuss° Health mobile application – ideal for environments where traditional monitoring has been hindered by factors such as cold weather, distance, weight, size, or space constraints. We are very much looking forward to demonstrating how this technology can enhance tactical medical care and support healthcare professionals in remote and austere environments.
