The International Special Training Centre (ISTC) will present its first tactical symposium from 4 to 6 November 2025 in Pfullendorf. The symposium aims to discuss the role of SOF tactical elements in multi domain operations and its training requirements as well as a breakout symposium from the Medical Branch. cosinuss° is very much looking forward to being part of this event and to presenting our ultralight and mobile patient monitoring solutions.

Focus on tactical combat casualty care

The ISTC Symposium brings together leading experts, researchers, and practitioners from the NATO SOF community. The focus is on preclinical trauma care at the point of injury (POI), prolonged field care (PCC/PFC), medical planning considerations for SOF, recent lessons learned from Ukraine, and damage control surgery (DCS/DCR/SOST) under difficult conditions far from the front lines.
Participants will examine how the current global environment shapes the medical requirements our medics must meet to remain at the forefront of tactical combat casualty care. The symposium not only serves as a forum for discussion, but also provides an opportunity for networking among medical facilities operating at the tactical level. It promotes the exchange of best practices and provides the right platform for future collaborations.

Ultralight and mobile patient monitoring

We will present our mobile patient monitoring system at the accompanying industry exhibition. The solution is based on the 8.6 g ultralight c-med° alpha in-ear sensor and the cosinuss° Health mobile application. The monitoring technology is already being used successfully in mountain, air, and offshore rescue operations, prolonged field care, as well as in special operations. We look forward to talking to participants about the experiences users have had with our technology, including in Ukraine (see references), as well as presenting the wide range of possible applications and discussing the potential and use cases in tactical medicine.
