From June 3 to 5, 2025, the Department of Mountain Operations of the Command Department of the Military University of Land Forces Poland, together with the NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence and the Mountain Training Section AWL, invites to the international conference “Mountain Warfare Environment – Experiences and Perspectives”. The aim of the conference is to exchange experiences and analyze current and future challenges in operations in mountainous regions. We will be there together with our distributor MB Artzena and present our mobile, ultralight patient monitoring system.

Mobility, survival, mountain rescue and medical care in extreme conditions

The aim of the conference is to promote international exchange on operations in the mountains – with a focus on mobility, survival, mountain rescue and medical care in extreme conditions. Modern technologies, innovations and training concepts for military and civilian operations in the mountains will also be discussed. The conference will include plenary sessions and training workshops. The workshops will provide the opportunity to learn techniques for the use of special, new and innovative equipment. Topics covered will include tactical operations in cold conditions, mobility and survival, mountain rescue, innovations in the mountains and mountain medicine.

Mobile and ultralight patient monitoring for tough environments

Together with our distribution partner MB Artzena, a Lithuanian based company that specializes in military and emergency medical products, we will be on site to present our mobile and ultralight patient monitoring to the participants. In our presentation on stage, we will share experiences of our users from the fields of mountain rescue, air rescue, tactical medicine and prolonged field care to show how our technology offers added value for operations in the mountains.

The c-med° alpha, an in-ear sensor weighing only 6.5 g and measuring 5.5 cm, enables continuous monitoring of pulse rate, body temperature and oxygen saturation. This real-time vital data can be life-saving in extreme situations where conventional monitoring was previously not possible due to weight, size, distance or circumstances. In combination with a mobile application, cosinuss° offers a flexible and ultralightweight solution for medical use in extreme conditions.

Presentation from cosinuss° will be held on Wednesday, June 4 at 12pm:
Title: New possibilities for patient monitoring in remote and/or challenging environments (Dr. Michael Weber, Lead Data Science & Research)
