Telemedicine is increasingly finding its way into the rescue service and is changing the way care is provided. On January 28, the publishing house Stumpf & Kossendey GmbH is hosting the 2nd Forum Telemedicine in Rescue Services in Berlin to shed light on the latest developments and their impact on rescue medicine. The event offers participants the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the processes, organizations and structures of tele-emergency medicine. We are happy to be part of this exchange and to be able to present our mobile, ultralight patient monitoring system.
Opportunities for emergency telemedicine
In its statement on the “Reform of emergency and acute care”, the government commission for modern and needs-based hospital care ascribes a decisive role to tele-emergency medicine. Particularly against the backdrop of demographic change, it offers a valuable opportunity to make use of digitalization and effectively counter the shortage of specialists in the emergency medical sector. The forum is therefore dedicated to key questions about the future of the emergency medical services. The focus will be on the steps towards establishing a tele-emergency medical system – from technology and training to practical application. There will also be a discussion on how these systems can change the rescue service in the long term. The aim of the event is to drive development forward, network stakeholders and create shared perspectives.
Mobile and ultralight patient monitoring
We are pleased to be able to present our system for mobile patient monitoring to the participants of the forum as part of the industry exhibition. Consisting of a 6.5 g in-ear sensor and a mobile application (cosinuss° Health). The monitoring technology for measuring vital parameters has already been tested several times in various studies and pilot projects in emergency and intensive care medicine as well as in remote patient monitoring (see references).
We look forward to exchanging ideas with the participants and discussing how our technology can contribute to the digitalization of emergency medicine and the further development of remote emergency medicine.
