A new chapter begins: corpuls auryx

The vision of cosinuss° is to revolutionize the monitoring and recording of vital signs in healthcare. We believe that every patient deserves the best possible care, regardless of where they are or what condition they are in. We also believe that physicians, emergency responders, and caregivers should not be burdened with additional workload. That is why we continuously develop innovative, award-winning sensors and platform solutions that provide individuals, emergency responders, and healthcare professionals with universal access to essential vital data.

At the same time, we work closely with academic and clinical partners to further evaluate the technology for new applications and generate new insights. Our goal is to provide solutions that can be used throughout the entire continuum of care — from emergency response and patient transport to hospital stays and even home care after discharge.

For this reason, we developed the c-med° alpha in-ear sensor, along with the associated software and platform solutions. Since 2023, we have been distributing these solutions to various stakeholders while continuously improving them. In certain areas, we initially collaborated with distributors, while in others we worked with cooperation partners.

In June 2025, the next major step followed: we joined forces with the German market leader in emergency medical services, GS Elektromedizinische Geräte GmbH, better known as corpuls.

This merger marked the beginning of a new chapter, opening up entirely new possibilities for realizing the vision of connected and seamless vital sign monitoring across all touchpoints in healthcare delivery — including emergency response, transport, hospitals, and rehabilitation. Together with corpuls, we are driving this vision forward even more strongly.

Important questions regarding existing and new sensors and software:

What is changing with the sensor / what is the difference between the c-med° alpha and corpuls auryx?

Nothing will change regarding the sensor itself. The differences between the c-med° alpha and the corpuls auryx sensor will only be the brand name and the official classification as a medical device. While the c-med° alpha is marketed and used as a Class IIa product, the corpuls auryx will become a Class IIb product. Both sensors will be available on the market in parallel during a transition phase.

What is changing with the app / what is the difference between the cosinuss° Health App and the corpuls auryx App?

The cosinuss° Health App will be fully transitioned into the new corpuls auryx App through an update and will no longer exist afterwards. As part of this update, in addition to the name change and the medical device classification change (from Class IIa to Class IIb), the main change will be the addition of an alarm function and alarm management. Which app is compatible with the corpuls auryx?

The corpuls auryx is compatible with the corpuls auryx App and, if not yet updated, also with the cosinuss° Health App.

Which devices are compatible with the corpuls auryx App?

Both the new corpuls auryx sensor and the existing c-med° alpha sensors are compatible with the corpuls auryx App.

What should I do with my existing c-med° alpha?

You can continue using your c-med° alpha as usual with the updated cosinuss° Health App, which will become the corpuls auryx App.
