From September 19 to 20, Essen will host the 21st National Performance Comparison of Professional Fire Department High-Altitude Rescue Teams. Eighteen teams from all over Germany will demonstrate their skills and expertise in rope access and rescue technology under realistic conditions. We are happy to be part of this event and to have the opportunity to present our mobile and ultralight patient monitoring solution at the accompanying trade exhibition.<\/p>\n<\/div>

High-altitude rescue competition<\/h2><\/div>

High-altitude rescue is of central importance when it comes to safely rescuing people from areas that are difficult to access, such as tall buildings, industrial facilities, or deep shafts. It combines state-of-the-art technology with the highest precision, thus making an indispensable contribution to protecting lives under extreme conditions.
\nDuring the performance comparison on Saturday, September 20, the participating high-altitude rescue teams will demonstrate their skills, teamwork, and resilience under realistic conditions at several stations. The event will conclude with an awards ceremony and a convivial evening gathering.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Ultralight and mobile patient monitoring<\/h2><\/div>

We are delighted to present our innovative mobile patient monitoring system to participants in the performance comparison. At the heart of the solution is the c-med\u00b0 alpha in-ear sensor, weighing just 8.6 g, which, in combination with the cosinuss\u00b0 Health mobile application, enables continuous and reliable monitoring of pulse rate, oxygen saturation (SpO2), and body temperature. The technology has already proven itself in mountain, air, and offshore rescue operations as well as in special forces, and opens up a wide range of other fields of application\u2014for example, in disaster control or major incidents (see references<\/a>). We look forward to presenting these possibilities and discussing potential applications and scenarios with participants.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The National Performance Comparison of Professional Fire Department High-Altitude Rescue Teams brings together high-altitude rescue teams from all over Germany every year, creating an opportunity for collegial exchange and further training.
