Betroffen sind alle Altersgruppen und Geschlechter. Durch St\u00f6rungen der Hirnsignale verursacht Epilepsie Krampfanf\u00e4lle von unterschiedlichem Ausma\u00df. Viele Menschen mit Epilepsie k\u00f6nnen weitestgehend normal leben und die gleichen Aktivit\u00e4ten wie andere aus\u00fcben. Einige Epileptiker k\u00f6nnen jedoch aufgrund h\u00e4ufiger Anf\u00e4lle stark in ihrem Leben beeintr\u00e4chtigt sein.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-3 nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"--awb-border-radius-top-left:0px;--awb-border-radius-top-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-left:0px;--awb-flex-wrap:wrap;\" ><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-row\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-2 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-one-full fusion-column-first fusion-column-last\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-column-has-shadow fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\"><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-3 sep-underline sep-solid fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-two\"><h2 class=\"fusion-title-heading title-heading-left fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"margin:0;--fontSize:30;line-height:1.5;\">Motivation und Herausforderung<\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><p>Epileptische Anf\u00e4lle sind zum Teil mit erheblichen Risiken verbunden und k\u00f6nnen zu Unf\u00e4llen mit schwerwiegenden Verletzungen f\u00fchren. Aus diesem Grund ist es wichtig, epileptische Anf\u00e4lle rechtzeitig zu erkennen, um entsprechende Sicherheitsvorkehrungen zu treffen. Daneben ist eine automatische und zuverl\u00e4ssige Anfallsdetektion grundlegend f\u00fcr eine effektive Medikation der Patienten. In der Praxis kommt f\u00fcr die Anfallsdetektion am h\u00e4ufigsten eine EEG (Elektroenzephalographie) zum Einsatz. Durch die Messung und \u00dcberwachung der Gehirnstr\u00f6me k\u00f6nnen Anf\u00e4lle vorhergesagt werden. Dass diese Art der \u00dcberwachung allerdings nur station\u00e4r im Krankenhaus erfolgen kann, stellt eine gro\u00dfe Einschr\u00e4nkung dar. Im Alltag der Patienten existiert bis dato keine technische L\u00f6sung der Anfallsdetektion. Anf\u00e4lle werden von den Patienten eigenst\u00e4ndig per Handprotokoll dokumentiert. Diese Handprotokolle bieten allerdings aufgrund der hohen Fehleranf\u00e4lligkeit keine ausreichende Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit. Laut einer Studie<span id='easy-footnote-1-13545' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/www.cosinuss.com\/de\/portfolio-items\/frueherkennung-epileptischer-anfaelle\/#easy-footnote-bottom-1-13545' title='Hoppe, C., Poepel, A., &amp;amp; Elger, C. Manche Arten epileptischer Anf\u00e4lle sind schwer zu erkennen. Dies erschwert die Suche nach passenden Vorverarbeitungsmethoden. Zudem stehen noch nicht f\u00fcr alle Anfallsarten ausreichend Daten zur Verf\u00fcgung.
